Effingham Hospital &
Care Center, established in 1969, continues to provide citizens
with quality cost-effective healthcare close to home. Accredited
by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations (JACHO), this medical facility is ranked among the
nation’s top 2 percent of accredited organizations. This
facility is Celebrating 45 Years of Medicine in Effingham
County.
The Hospital provides a broad spectrum of outpatient services
including general, Laparoscopic and same-day surgery; Physical,
Occupational, Speech Therapies and Cardiopulmonary
Rehabilitation Services. The main facility contains a Physicians
Center, where area specialists see local patients. Continuous
physician and registered nursing coverage is maintained in the
Emergency Department. Effingham Hospital was the nation’s first
chest pain center in a rural location. The new Sports Medicine,
Occupational Medicine, and Cardiopulmonary programs are just a
few of the unique services provided to the community. The
hospital also has an extended Care Center, a 105-bed, resident
long-term facility.
Effingham Hospital’s New Medical Village, is located for patient
convenience at both 100 & 110 Goshen Road. Effingham Family
Medicine, located in the Medical Village is open from 8 a.m.
until 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. And Effingham Hospital Imaging
Center is close at hand for all of your imaging and diagnostic
needs. The new Imaging Center offers CT, Fluoroscopy,
Radiography, Ultrasound, DEXA and High Density Digital
Mammography. Effingham Hospital also offers the new Open-MRI,
located at 613 Towne Park West Drive, Suite 104 in Rincon, to
deliver high-quality imaging services needed for comprehensive
diagnosis.
